Living a wearing ascetic life
In Chinese Internet slang, 修仙, literally, to practise asceticism, or to lead a hermit life, is used to describe the deeds of devoting one's time and energies, sometimes as far as monetary possessions, to those worldly amusements in a piously frantic manner, in some cases, though not of common occurence, to the extent of ruining their health, human relations, studies, enterprises, prospects and everything of their very life. Besides, 修仙 is of similar sounds with 休闲, which means recreations or distractions. One takes to it as a distraction, and finally to distraction; should that be one of life's little ironies?
